Islazul Plaza - Single Room

Built in 1907, the Hotel Plaza Camagüey is right in front of the city's train station. It is considered to be the oldest of the active hotels in Camagüey and still retains most of its original architectural features.

Among the most curious facts in its more than a century of existence are the stay of the Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral in the hotel and the original location of the first radio station outside the Cuban capital.

An obligatory reference site in the city, it is characterized by the familiar treatment of its employees and its excellent geographical location, right at the confluence of two main access roads to the city and a few meters from the commercial area.

The lobby has two bars, one with air conditioning, while the Pergola Bar has high ceilings, skylights in the ceiling to let in sunlight, and slow-moving ceiling fans. The main restaurant, El Dorado, is surprisingly very elegant.

Each of the 67 spacious rooms is different, with sizes and shapes determined by the structure of the building.
